Overview
At UNICAMP, the integration of undergraduate education with research activities is formalized through agreements, contracts, and partnerships, significantly enriching students’ experience at the institution and positively contributing to both undergraduate education and professional development.
Students can participate as beginners in research or as interns, engaging in activities of various types (research projects, support in organizing specialization courses and events, community activities, consulting, etc.). Multiple mechanisms allow students to take part in these activities.

Others: There are also programs funded by companies and royalties that can complement the financing of research and extension activities. Scientific initiation projects funded by UNICAMP and the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq), or voluntary work, are presented annually at an internal Scientific Initiation Congress to promote the exchange of experiences among students and faculty and to showcase projects developed at the institution. Presentations are intended for undergraduate students participating in scientific initiation programs.
Intensive Training Program (PIF)
This program is designed for students regularly enrolled in undergraduate programs at UNICAMP and allows the simultaneous completion of undergraduate and graduate courses, aiming at the successive attainment of a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree.
It allows students to advance in graduate-level courses required for a Master’s degree. Upon the student’s request, and with approval from their advisor and the Graduate Committee (CPG) of the unit, credits from graduate courses may be applied when the student enrolls as a regular graduate student.
Each student in this program is supervised by a faculty member accredited in the Graduate Program.
The minimum and maximum durations for the Master’s program are counted from the student’s entry into this program.
