History
André Tosello and Zeferino Vaz inaugurated in 1972 the first dedicated building of the Faculty of Food Technology, now the Faculty of Food Engineering at UNICAMP.
Its library was inaugurated in the same year with approximately 1,400 books, 301 journals, 970 reprints, and 1,000 standards under the direction of librarian Angelina Godoy Montgomery.
Ms. Angelina, due to her retirement, concluded her professional career in 1994.
In succession, the Library’s management included the following librarians:
Marli Ivonete Araújo de Medeiros: 1994 to 1998
Sueli de Fátima Faria: 2002 to 2014
Some highlights:
1998: Modernization of the Library with FAPESP resources
2008: Expansion of 600 m² in physical space with resources from the Salvador Arena Foundation, FAPESP, and UNICAMP
On December 11, 2008, the library’s new facilities were reopened, honoring the esteemed librarian Ms. Angelina Godoy Montgomery by giving her name to the Library.

Library Mission
To provide technical-scientific information to the teaching, research, and extension programs developed by the Faculty of Food Engineering, disseminating knowledge related to Food Science, Technology, Nutrition, and Engineering, offering an environment integrated with the academic purposes of study and idea generation.
